Her approach has saved clients up to $350,000 per purchase, with an ability to find properties within hours that clients couldn’t locate after months of searching.
“I thought real estate ticks the boxes. I don’t want to sell vodka, I want to do something more ethical and something which will give me financial freedom.”
After arriving in Australia, Marina needed to become her family’s breadwinner. She secured a position with Jenman Approved Real Estate in 2015, generating $100,000 in her first month despite language barriers. During three years in sales, she noticed many struggling with underquoting and poor agent experiences.
This led to establishing Home Sell and Support in 2018, initially as vendor advocacy where she interviewed agents and split commissions. When her sellers became buyers and struggled, she discovered buyers agency through Ben Handler’s course.
“I doorknock for my clients. When I approach homeowners saying I’ve got a buyer looking on your street, you don’t have to pay real estate fees or marketing, just section 32 and good to go – they’re happy with that.”
In one instance, Marina found six potential sellers and transacted four properties within just two hours of door-knocking for a client who had been searching unsuccessfully for months.
“BAI gave me the framework and I finished Ben’s course within five days. I already had a client and that’s how it started in 2018. I never looked back.”
Looking ahead, Marina aims to find like-minded people to join her business who prioritise client interests above financial gain.
“Persistence and determination is the key. Even when it’s scary and you’re doubting yourself, keep going. Remember that rejection is not personal – they don’t know you. It’s just something they don’t want to do at the moment.”
