“I think it’s just seeing people understand the value that you bring. When you communicate it at the start, it’s all ‘yes, yes, I see it’ and it’s intangible. But when you’re a couple of weeks in and clients start giving feedback saying they appreciate what you’re doing, it really gives context to what you do and why.”

Marcus began as an NRL player agent on the Gold Coast, focusing on holistic representation for athletes beyond sporting contracts. After several years, he transitioned to finance, distributing loan products through mortgage brokers.

During his time in finance, Marcus identified a critical gap in the property buying process. He observed mortgage brokers securing pre-approvals but leaving clients to navigate property selection independently, often resulting in settlement issues.

“I learned that through dealing with mortgage brokers, the emotional investment a client puts in is obviously massive. Being able to assist them when they’re so emotionally invested is something I get a lot of value out of.”

Marcus established PMC Property Buyers focusing on owner-occupied properties. In today’s market with limited stock and high demand, he helps clients who lack time for proper due diligence or confidence in understanding current market conditions.

“Authenticity is the best and most sustainable point of difference you can have in a business. I’m excited to see how much it eases what was otherwise for clients a stressful process.”

Looking ahead, Marcus is refining his systems while setting micro-goals to ensure consistent growth, maintaining his commitment to helping clients navigate emotionally significant property purchases.
