“I saw this pattern of behaviour time and time again – buyers spending far too long in the marketplace without transacting. What they’re not realising is that there’s a cost of inactivity, as missing swift transactions in desirable areas means missing critical capital growth.”
Ben entered real estate in 2016, later moving to the North Shore in 2019 where he spent 15 months without a single sale while building his network through persistent door-knocking. This foundation of resilience eventually led to market leadership with Sotheby’s.
Rather than focusing solely on finding “bargains” – which rarely exist in premium markets – Ben emphasises selecting the right asset at the right time.
“The person who’s going to give you the best strategic advice is the one who knows exactly what conversations a real estate agent is going to have with their vendor in the living room.”
Ben has built his business through education – both of potential clients and real estate agents in an area where buyer’s agents are uncommon. His partnership with Mark and Brad Goldman has accelerated his growth.
“BAI gave me the framework to understand how to transition my skills from the sell side to the buy side.”
Ben aims to become the market leader in buyer representation in Sydney’s North Shore, focusing on creating strategic awareness of buyer advocacy in a market where the service is still emerging.
“When you have a clear vision, there are no distractions. If you believe in what you’re doing, you can overcome any challenge in building your business.”
