“I guess if you succeeded at everything, you think you’re unbreakable. But if you made mistakes and you acknowledge them, you won’t make those same mistakes again. That’s what I’m doing now—helping other investors not make the same mistakes that I’ve made, which I think is pretty valuable.”
Michael’s property journey began at age 21 when he purchased his first investment property while working in the treasury department at Colonial Bank. Despite his early passion for property, Michael made several critical mistakes, including selling profitable properties too early and investing in poorly-located off-the-plan developments that delivered minimal returns over a decade.
“I started getting my passion for property back and thought, hold on, maybe I can help other people not make the mistakes I’ve made and guide them towards their great retirement.”
Michael has built his business by focusing on location selection, asset quality, and fair pricing. He’s developed strong relationships with real estate agents who now approach him with off-market opportunities.
“BAI gave me the framework and connections I needed. With the research I’d done and with your help through your course, I’m well-placed now and helping quite a few clients.”
After a challenging first six months pushing himself beyond his comfort zone with social media marketing, Michael has seen steady growth.
“Don’t believe the headlines, do your own research or lean on a buyer’s agent who does it for a living and feed off their knowledge.”
