“I never planned to become a business owner. It’s just one of those things where it kind of happened. When things happen, I embrace it and go with it.”
Lauren’s journey began in debt collection, which she describes as “brutal” but educational. This experience led her to mortgage broking, where she identified a significant gap – clients were receiving loans but purchasing unsuitable properties because brokers couldn’t provide property advice.
After reading “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” Lauren discovered her passion for property investment. She reached out to property investment companies and unexpectedly landed a role as a buyer’s agent associate, quickly realising she had found her calling.
“When I found property and investing, it all just clicked for me. I’ve never really had that thing in my life that excited me until I found property and investing.”
Lauren has differentiated her business by focusing on accessibility rather than exclusivity. Unlike many buyer’s agents who target only high-budget clients, she welcomes first home buyers, believing in building long-term relationships that span decades as clients grow their portfolios.
Recently, Lauren has begun expanding her team and moving into dedicated office space, investing in understanding personality profiles to build a cohesive team that shares her passion.
“I want them to be here because they want to be here and because they love the job. There’s no point making a lot of money if you’re not enjoying money.”
