“Women are really good savers. We run households of six people, juggling mortgages and school fees. We’re good money managers. It’s the next step we don’t tend to take.”
After working in media and as a selling agent in Asia, Elaine returned to Australia post-divorce. She briefly returned to selling real estate before recognising buyers were underrepresented in transactions, leading her to become a buyer’s agent.
Her approach includes having couples complete separate briefs to identify conflicting priorities preventing decisions. This method effectively resolves partner deadlocks in the buying process.
“If you take on somebody that’s not quite right, you’re sabotaging meeting the next great client.”
Serving both owner-occupiers and investors across Sydney, she’s built a reputation for exceptional negotiation skills. During COVID-19, she found new opportunities through off-market properties and collaborative agent relationships.
Elaine’s passion stems from personal experience and statistics about female homelessness. She shares her expertise in “Mind Body Sold,” addressing both practical aspects and mindset barriers to building wealth.
“You can’t outsource relationships. I know all about property and negotiation, but it’s the clients that I’m passionate about.”
Looking ahead, Elaine is developing courses while maintaining her buyer’s agency, focused on building genuine relationships and helping clients achieve financial security through property.
